About Me

Hi, I am Tom Campbell, technologist, software developer, CTO, and Author. More importantly, I am a husband to my wonderful wife, Jennifer and a father to four great kids, Matt, Kaylee, Kelsie, and Mike, who are all adults now. I am also an uncle to so many nieces and nephews ranging in age from 6 to 46. I was the baby of my parents six kids, so I was only 10 or 11 when I became an uncle.

I am also a friend to many, but I call my three lifelong friends my best friends, they are Paul, Rich, and Steve.

If you read the Thrills and Chills Inc. series, you may also know me as Tommy or Yommy.

For over 35 years, I’ve been building custom software. Today, I serve as the Chief Technology Officer at a custom software development company that creates solutions for Windows, web, mobile, and AI platforms. Software development has always been a part of me, just like reading has been.

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of writing the kind of books I loved growing up, the ones that spark the imagination and stay with you long after the final page. Fast-paced sci-fi adventures, spine-tingling horror stories, heartwarming faith-based tales. Starting from when I was a teenager, I wrote poems, short stories, and story ideas, but I never seriously thought about publishing.

In the last five years, I wrote and nearly finished several books, but I never took that final step, until after my 59th birthday. I set a goal at fifty-nine to publish at least one book before I turned sixty. Once I self-published that first one, something clicked. The old stories and new ones came pouring out. Now, I’ve published ten books and counting.

I write whatever comes to me, children’s picture books, middle-grade adventures, science fiction, horror, and stories rooted in faith. I love books. I’ve spent a lifetime reading every genre I could get my hands on science fiction, horror, sports, Christian inspiration, and even the occasional romance. Now, I write the type of stories I’ve always loved reading.

At the heart of everything I write is a deep love for family, friendship, and storytelling. My goal is to create captivating tales that entertain, inspire, and transport readers of all ages to unknown worlds. Whether it’s a journey through space or a brush with the supernatural, my stories are always grounded in human connection and the thrill of discovery.

I know my writing isn’t perfect, I’m not Asimov or Hemingway. There may be a few grammar or spelling hiccups along the way, and I apologize for those. But what matters most to me is the story. I want my readers to be immersed, to enjoy the ride, and to come away feeling like it was time well spent.

I truly hope you enjoy my stories.
